The doctors have registered with MyMedicare, you can too!
The Cottage Surgery has joined the MyMedicare program, which means that patients whose GPs work from the Cottage Surgery can register with their GP and enjoy the benefits of this new voluntary scheme.
MyMedicare is a government initiative that aims to formalize the relationship between patients, their general practice, general practitioner and primary care teams. By registering with us, you will have access to:
- Greater continuity of care with your registered practice
- Rebates for additional Medicare items, such as longer telephone consultations
- Your GPs name will be visible on your My Health Record so that they can be updated about your health
- Increased incentives to patients over time, to promote and encourage continuity of care
To register with us, you need to have a Medicare card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Veteran Card and have visited us at least twice in the past 24 months.
You can start the registration process in your Medicare Online Account or Express Plus Medicare Mobile app, or visit our practice and fill out a registration form.
